The Generation of the World
as recounted by the Mad Prophet Rylan to Borvish Falimea (The Last Coherent Ramblings of the Mad Prophet Rylan, Falimea, 464 AW)
(muttered curses)…."Hilth, the First Sister, wandering the primordial nothing. Alone. Unbalanced. Wrong. Forth from the void her displeasure brought the counterweight, Nymeth. Together. Balanced. Terrible fury. They fought an eternal war, a war that would never begin and would never end. And when it ended, the first world was born. In the first world, all were one. Hilth and Nymeth, sulking, nursing their wounds, cast themselves to opposite ends of infinity. and the force of their wills tore at the world, cracking and splitting the All-World. As the All-World was torn asunder, Bardel and Ultir coalesced, and were so angered at the fact of their existence that they consummated their anger in a fiery bout of lovemaking, pushing the world more and more apart, and their selves closer and closer together until from the heat of their passion arose Dama and Shugg. Shugg, feeling a love antithetical to his existence lashed out at Dama and ate her arms. From within Shuggs insides Dama's arms molded two new gods, Gramix from Shugg's liver and gall bladder, and Yllinda from his eyes. Gramix and Yllinda burst forth from Shugg, scattering his essence into a formless amalgam. Hilth, from her distant vantage point, saw all of this and spat in disgust, spraying out Fiskis who danced across the universe only to be met at the centre by Viskash, spawned from the vomit spewed by Nymeth. Fiskis, in his wild dance, cleaved the sex organs from Viskash and swallowed them whole. Viskash then longed to find the part they had never had time to know. In their search, they pulled at Hilth and Nymeth, trying to drag answers out of them. Instead, Viskash was stretched painfully across the universe, and their screams and the laughter of Fiskis intertwined and coalesced into Vir and Laasha. Vir and Laasha whispered to each other, holding secret council. They summoned Bardel, Fiskis, Yllinda,Viskash and Gramix to them. Together, they plotted to kill all of the other gods and then themselves for chaos to reign. Ultir, Hilth and Nymeth, sensing what was to come, ate the last of the remaining universe and excreted it as Eada, Reijik, Nar and Libestus. Sixteen gods. Opposed. Unopposable. A debate was held. And so, bloodlessly, it was decided. A second world would be made, and it would be composed of the Four Elements; Water, Fire, Air and Earth were distilled, purified and separated. From the Four Directions they merged and Kythia was born. Fiskis, in secret, siphoned off the raw energy and created his mirror world, Effelin, the Fey dimension; meanwhile Viskash did the same and created Malkesh, the Shadow realm. Throughout and around all of existence, the gods fashioned their homes. A ribbon, twisted and contorted upon itself, two sides as one. In their wake as they fled from the material plane of Kythia, they left the Astral Plane and the Etheral plane. And so the world was."
At this point, notes Falimea, Rylan began to violently thrash his head against the crude stone pulpit until he fell unconscious.
